I have read all other posts and no solution to my issue,"Boot release not working".
I do not hear a click of the solenoid.
I have check all fuses are in tack.
I haven't locked the boot with a key.
I don't have a master key, only slave so i cannot open it manually.

Please let me know your thoughts.

Try removing the relay and bridge 12v to the output and see if the boot pops. If not it will probably be the boot release solenoid. I'd say it is either the relay or the switch. Or maybe the plug has come adrift from the switch.

try the key you have, it may not need a master.

i think a locksmith can make a master from the key you have.

Guys, so I don't have to make a new thread can anyone help me with my predicament.

I am wrecking a TT and the engine, battery and elect terminals are all gone along with the interior panel. I am now in the position where I can't get into the boot and the key I was given with the car doesn't seem to open it.

I need to open the boot so I can remove the tail lights, so how can I get into the boot. Feel free to pm. Thanks

see nathan's post above.

you need to track down the wiring to the boot release and put 12v across it.

maybe start a new post, "wiring diag for boot release."

The plug for the loom to the boot is just at the junction of the drivers kick panel and the sill area. It's a blue plug. Does the fuel flap and boot release. Should be easy to measure the resistance and find which one to apply 12v to.

Matt.

alternatively knock a hole in the boot floor , and reach thru to get access to the linkage from the key to the actual lock assy
