Tom, I looked at Jack's ECU. There was solder across 2 tracks that shouldnt have been there form his attempt. This has subsequently damaged other components. I did repair (remove) this and checked everything else (and replaced remaining caps), however it seems the damage was already done.

hey Tom, thanks for your comments but i probably jumped the gun posting up about my ecu caps change has effected my fuel consumption, now thats its been few days i notice the difference in the car being smoother and fuel being better
Just wondering if the polarity was incorrect or used to much heat would the ecu have worked at all?
