hey guys,

not sure what the best way to go about this is, so i thought i'd ask on here. my wiper arms are looking pretty crap, the black paint on it is starting to chip and is really noticeable from the inside of the car. what would be the best way to paint it, i know if i spray paint right over it the paint will run and will look even worse. This is a pic of the damage...

You can buy the entire arm with the rubber for less than $20. Just measure the length of your current wipers. They come in various lengths.

If you want to keep it original looking and made for purpose, maybe suggest getting it powder coated.

Sorry, I took another look at the picture, looks like you are talking about the fixed bit.

mine are starting to look like that too, including the whole arms... I'm just probably going to sand them back and paint them in gloss or matt black, done that on my other cars in the past and it lasts quite a while... or might go buy the bosch ones to suit.

Josh where'd ya get the carbon wiper arms?

You can buy generic blades from Autobarn or Super cheap that are the rubber and the metal part. Just buy the one that matches the length. That's what I did.

I then later shelled out for some Repco items that are like the Bosch ones (I think its Bosch). They cost about $22 each, rather than $22 for a generic pair in metal.
