guys ive just picked up some electric seat to swap my manual ones out and i when i wired them in there is 4 wires. i got the positive and negitive sorted as they are now functional but there are 2 wires left over. a thin red and a thin black wire. i noticed when i flip the passenger seat forward to access the rear seats it doesnt auto move like its meant to which is making me think those other wires are for an ecu of some description. can anyone point me in the right direction at all???

I think it only auto moves if it's the full on memory seats from a V8.

They are possibly the wires that connect to the original seatbelt warning light if you still have the oem seatbelts.

The passenger seat in our TT auto-moves when you flip it forward, but it is sporadic at best and doesn't always return fully. Driver's side doesn't auto-move at all (but you don't often flip the driver's side forward anyway).

The passanger seat moved fine before I pulled it from the other car and put it into mine. Ill have to dig out my soarer bible and see what I can find. I just thought someone might have done the swap recently and would know. Thanks anyway lads

No worries. For what it's worth, the V8 memory seats the ecu is actually in the passenger seat.
