Gday all, Ive been searching and searching but havent seemed to come across any answers..
Every time I turn the ignition to "ON" i can hear the EFI kick in, and what i assume to be the fuel pump doing its thing..
This is all okay, but heres where the problem begins.
After i switch off the car (completely, keys out of the ignition) the EFI seems to be still running, it used to run for about 5 seconds but now it is running until the battery dies..
To get it to stop i have to pull the EFI relay.
Ive suspected the relay sticking, and swapped it but the problem still occurs.
I also discovered that if i pull the 30A efi fuse the problem will stop.
I guess i can work with it, just have to remember to pull the fuse every time i get out of the car.. but this is going to get pretty repetitive after a while..
so yeah, any advice/suggestions would help, before i lose my mind completely and burn all the wiring in the car.

okay so ive still been hunting around and discovered someone with the exact problem.. turns out that the main ECU is where the problem lies. this sounds like its going to cost a fair bit. ouch
for interest ill post the thread of a different forum where i read up:

This would be a crappy work around but put a normally open relay in the the line and run it back to the the ign on feed from the key.
When you turn the key on it will close the relay allowing the EFI to run normally and when you turn the key off it would be the same as pulling the fuse but it removes the dependancy on the ecu and will cost about $15 in bits from Jaycar...
