Hey hey, basically the trip computer does not seem to always report its fuel consumption. It seems to turn 'off' and 'on' randomly.(the yellow markers) Anybody know what the issue could be?

thanks a lot (:

There is an aftermarket handbrake override connected. This lets you while in motion.

Remove the override and plug the plugs back in properly and it will be fixed.

Could also be bad earth connections.

Wow, I never would have guessed. Props buddy.
edit: just threw that into search and it seems I found out it's located behind the EMV. Thanks a lot, I'll rip it out next time I get around to it.

You'll need to remove the EMV to get to the plugs in the back it (there is something in the tuts section from memory). My instantaneous fuel usage stopped working with a handbrake over-ride, but it still had distance to empty. It was never random. If you want a handbrake over-ride kit that works, you'll need to get a Data Systems one. It is what I have now.
