Today I had a tyre blow out at 110kmph, and when I arrived to my destination, I realised that the front left quarter panel had bent slightly to the point of making the passenger door hard to open as it slightly scrapes against the panel.

Anyway, now if I activate the alarm, it will go off as if the door is open, I'm assuming this has to do with the slightly bent quarter panel. Does anyone have any idea on how to fix this?

Josh.

There could be some alarm wiring under the guard that got damaged also?

Otherwise gently bend the guard back into shape. Use some heat if you are worried about the paint cracking, but not too much.

Also check your door switches for the alarm, one may have lost a wire, got jammed, or been short circuited.

Not having much luck are you?

Today has been awful haha also had the sound system fail as I had 2 subs and 3 amps in the boot and when I got the spare wheel out the space saver compartment, I may have ripped a wire out an amp or something, and I have no clue on how to wire amps and subs up haha.

Also on top of that, when the wheel blew, the wire of it made some nice scratches around what use to be a perfect paint job. Not that bad but it's bad enough.

But thanks for that I will give those methods a try!

Okay so I gave a good shot at bending it back and it has gone to the point where the door won't scrape against the quarter panel, also the alarm works good now! The quarter panel is still slightly out of place but at least it isn't a priority now. Thanks for the help!
