I know this is might be stupid. But the fuel pump wires might be damaged. Did you inspect them when you changed the pump? Possible faulty ECU. Try changing it with a known good one.

Also if your car has an aftermarket alarm system could have dodgy wiring. Check and clean pump earths, wires, bad connections, etc. Something has to be causing excess current draw for the fuse to blow. Also may pay to take out fuel pump assembly check the connectors at the pump and check for bad connection/resistance in the wiring. The old pump may have drawn excess current and burnt a connector out. Look for discolouration or funny looking terminals in the connectors or the connectors themselves.

hey guys what happen right i took the car to winton race way and it ran really good on the track i did a couple of laps and all of a sudden the fuel pump fuse blow i took it to the pits changed the fuse 20sec later it blow again... soo what i did to get the car back to Melbourne i just put a straight wired just to get home when i was driving the car home on the free way the car keeped cutting out on very light throttle my mate from behind me was saying that he seen black smoke come out of the car every 10 minutes.... iv change the fuel pump looked at the wiring looks good.
