Can someone help, I managed to short out the alternator and blew the 120A fuse, seemed straightforward enough, but trying to remove the thing its brittle and keeps falling apart. Are they just removeable like I assumed?

Can't pull it out, not much left to grab on to!
Will be easy to buy in the morning but difficult to actually replace!
Only got the 2 easy bushes in too!!!!!!
Removed a few things but not the alternator and should have, but could not get that bush in, tried for hours.

I think there's a bolt underneath holding it in.

Main fuses have small bolts holding them in. Pull the fusebox apart to remove the two 10mm headed screws from underneath and will come out fine.

I've rung up 5 wreckers, 1 Toyota and 1 Auto Elec, no-one can get this fuse. Never thought it would be so hard to get a fuse, and its such an essential one.

I did the same Matchy, Centre Rd Wreckers $2!
For those that are interested Centre Rd Wreckers (Springvale) has 3 Soarers. The fuse box I opened looked like it had never been opened, the fuses were mint.

Hi Dave,
can you help me with 1 more thing?
My wife drove it after I got it all going again, she drove it like a grandma coz she didn't trust my skills(!), when I went to drive it the shifts are different and it feels a bit different to how I remember it, have ECUs been reset or something like that?

That's exactly right, search for resetting the ECU. You should do it again.
