G'day, since of late when my Soarer goes on boost, then I back off the throttle, the rev drops right down to zero then she refuses to start for another 5 minutes or so. I've been running a Blitz ECU for years so I know this isn't boost/fuel cut. I have an AEM wideband gauge installed so i see that the mixture is EXTREMELY rich when trying to restart (below 10). She then starts and drives fine after a few minutes like nothing ever happened. I tried a stock ECU and it wouldn't start her either (rich). Tried checking for error codes and I didn't get any (EFI OK).

Hopefully you guys can give me some advice. Thanks in advance.

Ok, so it finally started with the stock ECU and i took it for a spin.. It is now extremely LEAN off boost (over 18). I goes to 11.5~12.0 on boost but I can't test it properly cuz now I am getting boost cut. Gonna try to see if I can set the boost down to 11 or 12 psi

I wonder if it's the fuel pump?

Car no longer shuts down. It is VERY lean with normal driving. It is now perfectly fine at WOT.

I can now rule out ECU, Fuel Pump & fuel pump relay since I changed them all (one by one) and tested it.

Help!

could the lean fuel be related to a doggy o2 sensor?

Guys, it turned out that my SAFC got unfastened from the two-sided tape in my glove box, slid around, pressed itself and changed the tune causing severe lean outs.

I am happy I finally figured it out tho.
