Hey guys. Well i recently brought a TT Soarer and i got it home and my friend jumped in and couldn't get the electric window button to work. It will not go down but the window will go up.. Any ideas? I had a breif look and the wires are connected.

The switch contacts may be dirty. There is more load on the switch lifting the glass up, than lowering/falling down. So it arcs/gets corroded.
if so, clean with small wire brush and fine paper, and Metho/Shellite.

have a look behind the door trims. Something could be jamming the window or your regulator/motor is on its last legs
