At the moment, I have some smoked Altezza cheap ebay crappy lights fitted on low and high beam. I like the way they look, but the main lights are for a left hand drive car (even though I emailed prior to make sure they were ADR and for a right hand drive car) and the high beam lights won't adjust up high enough to be useful. I like the look of them as the low beam light has a halo and they look really clean and nice and have a projector, but they're pretty useless.
Is there anyone in Aus that sells legal ADR lights for high and low beam that can be adjusted properly, and still look good? I have standard lights somewhere but they're yellow and pretty average.
Heres what i'd like Clear lens Projector lights Parker operated Halos's on high and low beam. Switchable LED lights along the bottom of the main light. (not essential)
Does anyone mod/repair/sell headlights to do something similar to this? IF so, please DM me.

I am curious to know if they are ^these^ as I was thinking of purchasing. I had LHD headlights on my V35 and they were terrible. Going from factory HID's to them was a massive mistake. Looked good though.

I have a set of headlights that look like these. Not sure what brand they are though as i got them off Rowan from the forums here who took them off his freshly imported soarer.
My set is quite good, though i am running H1 HID's in them.

The low beam pattern is like this
__/ / __/
The angle is REALLY sharp and the right had side light is adjusted way down so it doesn't angle up into oncoming traffics eyes. No visibility into the left or the road at all and it's not good as I live in a semi rural area.
I have fitted Narva lights so the light quality is quite good, but the pattern is just rubbish.
Presently I'm considering buying 2 new standard lights and either buying protectors or black vinyl to make a mask for them, to make them look a bit sportier and fitting halos to the high and low beam.
Honestly the quality of lights I have is total rubbish. Think twice before buying a pair.

What I plan to do now is buy another set from Marz for low beam, pull the bar again, remove the high beam and fix the adjusters with them out of the car, and refit everything.
BTW when I contacted Marz to complain, they said the can remove/refit bar and swap lights in 2hrs. A panelbeater quoted me 6hrs and it took me about 8hrs to do it the job (I also swapped tyres and painted calipers, fitted a BOV and changed the cam cover) but I think 2hrs is a stretch. Lexus book time is 12hrs apparently.
I am also looking at buying a LED light bar, it's approx 300mm long and I'll mount it on a bracket under the number plate, and run it on high beam. Not as obtrusive as driving lights and will provide more flooding light on high beam like I want.

Ok, lots of stuffing round, and more dead ends. I'm a bit pissed off now.
I looked for Australian suppliers of these lights only. I found Marz and Tunerpieces by searching Australia only.
I didn't want to deal with Marz again and they're too dear, IMO. so I bought from the other, after being told they were a right hand drive light and ADR. and also located In Australia.
They're not. They came from USA and are left hand lights, but appear better than the Marz lights fitted, but maybe just because they're newer. I'm not spending hundreds to return them to America so my plan is now to make a custom light.
I'll try to find a complete RHD projector, possibly by pulling a VVTi headlight apart and sourcing one there, or looking for an aftermarket one. I'll run that with a HID and a halo, and pull the other set apart and use the halo from there on the high beam light. I might need to make the hole in the housing slightly bigger, but I think it would look a lot meaner with 2 halos on each side.
Hopefully I get my lights sorted soon as I'd like to see where I'm going at night.
Again, be careful if buying off eBay, they lie and say they're Australian as they know it will cost you too much to return the items.

mate if they stated in writing that they are rhd and are not you should be able to get them with false advertising and im sure they should cover the return postage after you mention that

Problem is its thru eBay and they do NOTHING to help you, even after they said 1. They read the seller say they were RHD and in Australia and 2. They said the seller was deceptively listing items in the wrong category/wrong website and in the wrong format (located in Australia only).
I phoned PayPal and they said I'm responsible for the entire return postage costs with tracking. It works out nearly $200.
I took it to ebay/PayPal and basically they can't do anything.
The seller is sort of helping, but hasn't offered a refund, or to reimburse my postage costs, I think he's basically just trying to seem helpful, where as if he was done more, real dollars help but bullplop does nothing.
I'll pull all my lights apart when I have more time and another car and flip the thing around to suit RHD, add HID and sort the halos out.

Problem is that he is in the states so it doesn't apply to him. Dept of Fair trading won't go after him, eBay can't supply me with a voucher to post it back as its an overseas transaction (in US, in some cases, particularly where deception is involved, eBay will supply buyers with freight vouchers so they don't have to pay to return the item)
There is a company who refurbishes/reconditions headlights nearby, I think I dealt with them when I managed a wreckers. I will take both sets of lights to them hen I get my 4WD back and have them separate the glass from the body and ill do the work to the projectors and add the halo myself.
My other option is I found the person who wholesales the light via searching the patent/stock number on the lens. I've sent them an email and as I work in spare parts, I might be able to buy a set from them directly, much cheaper. They specify a LHD and RHD version of the light. If I can get a RHD pair from them cheaply enough, I'll grab them and sell my other sets off ad recover some of the costs.
I suppose at least with the front bar off, it will prompt me into fitting a FMIC.
