My alternator is playing up ie battery not charging alarm keeps coming up.
What's the best way of removing the alternator and what needs to come out to remove the alternator?
I believe the model # for a UZZ32 alternator is 27060-500050 is this still correct and what 's the best price just in case mine isn't repairable?

Hi Dave,

There is a guy down here in Wellington with a couple of UZZ32's.
He is currently repairing an alternator.
If you want I could probably get him talk to you about repairs.

Thanks Evan. The car is currently with a local auto electrician so will wait and see what he finds. It may be something simple like a diode but the main cost will be access to remove the alternator.
Will let you know if I need a replacement.

Finally got the car back. They couldn't pinpoint any particular fault but changed the regulator and checked out everything else.
Ended up requiring a new tensioner pulley and new connectors on the battery.
Seems to be all ok now, no more alarms but cost $780.
