Hi all,
Well we dropped our daughter off at the train station tonight, when i got back in the car from letting her out from the back seat my all things went funny.
My seat would not go back, no power to it. The Dash lights then went off then one after another, the screen went off, the stereo went off, as did the head light, ever driven home in the dark in a black car with no lights at all scary.
The power stearing was heavy but not as heavy as it is when your driving along and lose all power.
Funny thing was that the car was still running we didnt turn it off til we got home then when we tried to start it again there was Nothing and i mean nothing.
The only thing working on the car is the interior light and the drivers side light on the door.

The car was running great before all this, has any one got any ideas.

+1 for Toms suggestions - if that doesn't help then check all the less accessible earth points, then get your alternator checked out.

Sounds like the alternator is not charging and the car was running on battery power, which has now totally drained, hence now power.

Pull the battery out and take it to a reputable spare parts shop and ask them to do a check on the battery, you'll probably find it's dead flat,

From there, either charge it, or tow the vehicle to an auto electrician and have the alternator tested. If it is knackered replace it.

Now. This is assuming the alternator belt is still attached and the tensioner pulley isn't seized or loose.

Also check to see if your power steering pump is leaking into alternator.
