disconnect it, no reason why not to, there will be a small draw and for 2 weeks counting on battery quality could end up flat. Check to see if your battery has a build date...if it's old then disconnect (4yrs is an old battery)

Mine has a voltage leak somewhere and buggered if I can find it but I can leave it for 2 weeks on a new battery no worries.

Ive had my Ltd sitting up the driveway for a few weeks while I was putting the finishing touches to my supercharger install. Fired into life with the first turn of the key, and then I left my boot open and flattened the battery overnight...

gary, repco's batteries are century batteries so you can get nationwide warranty when you get one through repco but you cant take a century battery to repco and get it warrantied.

It is the permanent power to the radio tuner/DSP unit that is the problem.
I had the same problem for years. I ended up cutting the blue/yellow permanent feed to the tuner and used the switched ignition wire as power to the tuner. Tuner has permanent and switched power.

Evan, would you mind elaborating (if you can recall) on what you did with the switched ignition wire once you cut the permanent feed wire? I'm currently in the process of doing this myself.

Long time ago, I know!

I notice that the CD stacker in the boot stays powered up permanently as well, which is another cause of parasitic power drain.
