This warning comes on regularly but there is plenty of fluid. I take the top off the reservoir and move the float and it sometimes fixes it but it comes back later, sometimes soon sometimes days.
What to do?? Is there a fix? or do I have to replace the float or what?

Remove the sensor and hold it up to the light. You'll see a float within the tube which magnetically activates an electric switch. You'll notice that the float doesn't need to move much to turn the switch on or off. The thing with brake fluid is that it is hydrous optic that is it takes in water from moisture in the air and along with dirt etc the switch gets shorted out. What you need to do is remove the tube from the cap (bayonet fitting) by twisting and clean out the fluid from the tube. For it to have got to that state indicates that you need to do a full brake fluid change.

Thanks Dave, It was when I did a break fluid change that it started to happen. When you say "a flush" is there something other than just flushing the system through with new fluid?
I put new braided lines and flushed out the whole system in the process.
I seem to remember someone hearing that someone flushed their brakes out with Metho. Is that the right thing?
Do I need to do another flush or just clean the tube out as you say?

Just the tube now you've done the change. You'll notice that the float doesn't need to move much for the switch to activate and it does it quite low in the reservoir. There's a method somewhere on this site if you do a search.
