Hi all, my V8 Limited has been running rough and has been diagnosed with faults with main ECU.

Any suggestions where to have it rebuilt and approx. cost or where I could source one in better condition than my original. It is my daily driver so it needs to be close to Sydney, thanks Greg

Wolf do a plug in replacement... $$$, questionable legality, but more power and better fuel economy

Hi Greg,

If it's a leaky capacitor issue and you're feeling brave the following link shows you the ones that will most likely need replacing.
http://www.toymods.org.au/forums/tech-conversions/68911-1uz-soarer-ecu-capacitor-replacement-info.ht ml

If your not then you might try the following:

The Wolf v500 replacement one is ~$2k but if you're looking at upgrading the motor at some point in the future it's probably a good investment.

I'm running through the same sort of options at the moment myself so best of luck.

Jeff, I'm just trying to decide whether to have mine redone or chance buying a used one that has been done.

Getting mine redone means no daily driver which creates problems however as it is only the capacitors diagnosed as needing replacing I'm not buying any one else's problems either by using my existing ECU
