Hi Guys,
Recently purchased a 1991 4.0 V8, great car.
The EMV works great apart from GPS (no map disk) and the Trip Information/fuel consumption pages.
The fuel consumption page flat lines at 6 and the trip information page reads all zero,s.
It did have a Field TV box thingy fitted, have removed. Reconnected the cut pink wire, black/yellow and black/grey wires. On the large grey wire plug there were also two wires cut and joined into the Field box. If I connect the black wire nothing happens. If I connect the white wire the EMV shuts down after approx 1 min.
Now stumped as to what is wrong, seems like something simple is stopping it from working, any ideas as to the solution?

Yes, seem to have fixed it.
Top tip, never assume someone else's wiring is correct, checked all the previous owners wire joins, a previous solder had dried out and wasn't making the correct contact.
Took her for a spin, worked just fine, well until I got back home and pressed the memory seat button which caused the EMV to shut down........blast more investigating to do.
