I hardly use the high beam as I have a good set of HIDs on the low beam and may just use them to flash and they work fine BUT when I push the right hand wand away from me to actually switch the high beam on permanently, nothing happens.

Have you checked the fuse? UZZ3# models have independent fuses for high beams. JZZ3# models do not have those independent fuses even though they do have fuse sockets.

thanks for that picture Katsuji, I have checked both of the fuses and think that the problem was only that my battery was too flat to start the HIDs, only one at a time would work. I checked the wiring and changed the bulbs and noth worked separately. It seems my alternator needs doing. I will see tomorrow. Cheers John
