Hi Guys,

I really need some help as i have been stuck for days with my emanaage. I believe it is a gold unit, as it is completely gold but has no labels.

I bought the unit second hand, and it had the additional injector harness, but i noticed it was for a 4cyl which leads me to my first problem.

When the unit is connected, i can start the car but it dies straight away. I believe (may be 100% wrong) that the settings/map currently used by the emanage are causing this problem.

My second issue is that being a gold unit i have to use specific software currently trying v1.25 / v1.47 but i cannot get anything off the device. When i boot it up it says online (i have checked my comm ports multiple times) and the only option i have is main unit update. I have tried this many times but the update doesn't happen, nor does it time out. I can even pull the cable out and the software keeps doing the update.

I will need to move the car soon as we are moving house and i have spent over 10 hours trying to get something to happen but i just wont.

Notes:
- I have changed the jumper (JP2) to 2-3
- I have set the rotor dials to 6-4-0\
- I don't know which light is which of the two, nor what colors they are but they are always both solid. When i start the car the right one flashes.
- I have tried every blue and gold firmware with no difference.

Please someone help me before i loose my mind!

A side note that i am not sure is related but now weather the emanage is in or not i get no tach or dash lights, just the hazards and 'CHARGE'

If dash is blank could be blinky dash syndrome possiable emanage related but not normally.

Honestly buying 2nd hand emanage units is a gamble as I've delt with a couple of people that brand new units are faulty.

The only real way of fixing this is find someone tha. Tunes them and get them to check it out.
Money well spent as the unit maybe cactus and all you'll do is chase your tail trying to figure it out.
I know of 1 emanage that is currently working in a car. Out of about 5 faulty ones.

Yea, i have decided to not go emanage as its being a pain.

I don't think its blink dash as i replaced the capacitors as a precaution when i had the car stripped.

It could be a variety of issues, i wish i could just factory reset the emanage so i can drive the car to the new house.

Also i would like to sell the unit, but dont want someone else to end up with a dud. First world problems i guess.

did you do the transisters in the dash?
is the dash blank or just not working?
if visable and not working its ecu related.
if blank its the dash itself.

yep did the transistors too.

When i turn the key or start the car it has Charge at the bottom and the indicators solid.

Wondering if i have either a dead alternator or blow a fuse? Possibly both
