OK I have gone through forum after forum and can't find anyone who has done this. It seems everyone go from memory seat to just electric.
I want to put memory seats in my tt (already have factory electric ones) and I want to do both sides, just to be different.

So my real question is how intertwined are the electrics for memory seats?
Do I need a complete v8 loom or can it be spliced in?

I know its a big job but I also want to put in an electric back seat too. Just to be different.

What would an electric back seat be? Nowhere for it to go.

Electric back seats have lumber support adjustment and a very small amount of tilt. Some even have radio controls and heating.
fitting it will be the fun part of the project. The soarer rear seats already lay back, so people that like to sit upright will have that option.
One option I'm looking at is to using the top half of soarer front seats and adapting them in.
I know I'm crazy but why not.

Looms are different no plug and play
They also have there own ecu for the doors
So that would need power and all the wiring which is intertwined in a v8dash loom.

Might be a case of getting wiring diagrams and sitting down to nut it out but honestly wouldn't bother

Thanks Daniel, so i would need a compleat drivers side V8 loom or make my own loom using parts of a v8 loom. where is the memory Ecu located? I would have to do this anyway to get memory on the left side ( memory only drivers seat right?).

I was thinking about integrating my PC into my soarer too. I know, I'm crazy.

Some boys up here in qld have car pcs in there soarer.

The ecu is under the dash so
Can't remember 100% but the uz dash loom Wont plug into a jzz30 body loom. And it's all intwinned in a loom.
Then theres the door looms
Will need repinning.

Honestly the easiest way I see is to get a
Complete uzz loom I'm talking
Front body loom
Left and right body to rear looms.
Dashloom
Door looms and swap them in.
That's what if do if I was serious

I've been chasing up drawings for the seat looms and ECU so I can nut it out.
some parts I'll need to get from the US, like the passenger side sett buttons.
As my soarer is manual, I'd have to change a few things on the V8 loom to get it to work anyway.
At this stage I'm going to hold off until I get more info.
I recon my best bet would be to build a custom loom and splice it in to the original TT loom.
This way I can also supply a stronger power wire to the seats.
Thanks for you help Daniel

I don't know of any Soarer that had rear electric seats , I think your thinking of LS400 or more so the Celsiors , they have the lumber and tilt also AC and stereo controls in the arm rest in the rear seats .

You would be correct Mario, I'm looking at Retro fitting a celsiors rear seat or custom fitting a set of soarer front seats to the rear. I hoping to do a full ground up rebuild on my factory manual over the next 2-3 years. So why not customize it to make one unique soarer.

Shouldn't be much different to putting in racing seats. As long as you follow the guide lines and do it properly the first time, it should be able to pass Regency.
Most rear seats are held in by two clips and two screws. Mine will be bolted down.
And who's going to know?
