Hey Guys,
Any gurus able to help with reusing the factory amps? I have them working but I'm getting significant hiss noise, using a USB DAC -> clarion EQ -> Factory AMP wires.

This is a MUCH better option than those $2000 all in one screens. Could you post some clearer pictures please Allan? Do you use you phones hotspot / wifi to connect this to the internet or is this the 3g/lte version?

How did you go using the factory amp Allan? Im wanting to do this same install. Did you by the ROM from that guys site or ebay?? I found it hard to navigate his site to a page where I could purchase.. I work in manufacturing and I will be making a cradle for the tablet that will bolt into the factory holes and have it powdercoated textured black..It may be able to be designed to have the tablet removeable depending on how the cables connect to the tablet.If you can give me some guidance with how and what to purchase I will happily swing you one of these cradles when they are done. no luck getting rid of the noise in the factory amp so far, I'm sure there is a way but an after market amp might be easier at this point...
problem with making it removable is you will have to lose the cup holder for the USB connection and once you have the USB rom loaded it's function outside the car is limited anyway...
the rom is just a software download and then you can use one the the "toolkit's" to load the rom to the tablet...
