have you cleaned the earths and batt terminals???

have you removed the alternator and had it checked by an auto elect??

joseph, you need to have a system on illiminating things. You cannot not do the simple things and get an easy fix.

Good on you Tom, i'd given up a bit, disillusioned by thinking i had the solution then to find i had not.

I'll get stuck in again and do the terminals, i don't have the skills to remove the alternator but i'll get it to an auto electrician.

I did not want to face the fact that it might be the alternator again, this will be the third alternator i've had in a year, i wanted to rule out everything else before coming to the conclusion it is the alternator again....

Joseph , just take it in and get an auto elect! to get the ALT out and load test , I have had Alternator problems do my head in here in my 32's , if its not the rectifier it will be the Reg , but my money is on the rectifier . I have had dead diodes in all 4 Alt . I took them apart with ALL of them having one or more dead diodes in them . Rectifier is easy job and are the same as a 2uz V8 Land Cruiser .
