Hi everyone,

I am half way through an R154 Swap in my 1991 1JZGTE JZZ30. The conversion came with every nut and bolt out of a factory manual JZZ30, which was pre-facelift, same as mine. The good part is that meant i got a manual ECU and a manual Throttle Control ECU.

The only problem i am having is that i can't find the Automatic Throttle Control ECU to swap the manual one in!

Can anyone help?
Would be much appreciated!

On the late model Soarers, the throttle control ECU sits right opposite the main Engine control ECU.

Should be under the passenger footwell.

Now that i think about that, that makes a lot of sense. Mine is Non VVTI so you are correct. Will the VVTI ECU work on a Non VVTI 1JZ?

What's different about it if there's a separate computer to control the VVTI?

The vvti is controlled by the ECU. the throttle control ECU controls the throttle body actuation
