Lately I've been having this issue, usually overnight when temperatures have dropped to ~5'C.
The Interior Dome Light comes on(if switched to door) just as if I had opened the doors. Thus my Alarm goes off, giving me an alert stating my door's been opened.
However the Door Ajar light does NOT illuminate unless the door is actually opened.
After the car has run a little bit, or the outside temp has increased for a while, the problem goes away.
So I would like to think it may have something to do with cool weather creating condensation, but where, and what causes the car to think a door has opened, but not cause the door ajar light to come on.
I had pulled the seat, carpet and trays under the steering wheel, all last week in prep to diagnose this at 3am or whenever it goes off at night, but as luck has it, we warmed up all week to 30'C and at night was still above 10. Last night I put it back together, and this morning, the problem came back and I looked, 2'C outside..
drove about 10kms by the time the interior light turned off.
I had pulled out the integration relay (box) out and looked inside it, everything seems ok, nothing burnt, melted, etc and really everything works fine, just not when the temps drop to near freezing.

Any ideas??
