Hi everyone Pretty sure its not a standard feature but my soarer has always had the hazard lights come on for approximately 5 seconds every time either of the doors or boot are opened.
Yesterday I was driving along when I noticed that the hazard lights were on. pressed the hazard light button but they didn't turn off. so pulled over and made sure all the doors were shut properly, the problem didn't go away. however whilst driving along they seemed to come on and off intermittently. finally tried pulling the horn/hazard fuse out, STILL didn't stop it. I have not idea where to look next??
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thanks guys steve.

its possible, not sure that it has one though. never found any *secret* switches and the key doesn't have anything on it. never had an alarm go off. although it does have a *truck like* beep when reversing haha, only in the car though not outside.

They all beep in reverse, so that's normal ..
The flashing that you mention as Scott said is a after market alarm that may only have that part of the system wired up / working Now & the alarm bit has died or disconnected ?? the trouble is if you don't get someone to professionally remove what's left or do it your self if you are capable of doing it ?? & the Alarm is just lying dorment it could suddenly start working again, quite common if the battery is disconnected & then reconnected & if you don't have a key pad etc it might be quite hard to turn it off & the car will then be stranded until you disconnect the alarm ..
Usually the Alarm control unit & extra wiring will be right up under the dash around the steering column area ..
Generally after market alarms are only good for about 5 or so years before they themselves & start causing issues ..
