The fan (air con/heater fan within my TT has an intermittent fault. It will work ok for a while and then suddenly stop. This is whether the air con's on or not. When I drive over any bumps in the road, it will suddenly start (or stop) working again.

It seems pretty obvious to me that there must be a wire or connection loose. I've got the glove box out (as well as that panel below the glove box) and have juggled any wires or connectors I can reach but all to no avail.

Can anyone advise me the best way to get access to the fan itself? I'm hoping it doesn't mean the dash itself will have to come out.

Any advice would be most appreciated!

have a look in the diagnostics page at the top level of this forum - there is a guide to air-conditioning diagnostics.

Print it off and take it with you into the car and this will be the quickest way to narrow down where the fault is.
