I have have read that it could be the dsp radio receiver unit? i did have a look and there is some rust around the housing but im not electrical savvy so could please do with your guys help as its driving me crazy not having the original sound as it should be the EMV works fine did do a diagnostic check but the screen came back with all blanks no o.k or errors just bullet points?? any HELP

if the after market unit works with the EMV off, i would think the wires to the speaker have been cut and connected direct to the new unit. The original system may have worked , but the owner wanted to update, or maybe the original system did not work, that is why he fitted the after market unit
Only someone with elect experience who can actually look at your car can help you.

I suggest you remove door cards to check that it is the speaker wiring that's been cut. I'm fairly sure Tom is right in suggesting it is. If it is then you should just connect a test speaker to the cut wires in the EMV loom. If it works then it's a simple job to transfer the wires from the head unit in the glovebox back to the the EMV loom.

Hi o.k i had auto electrician out to look at my car and he thinks the wires need connecting back to the original he took console apart and he said ther is no cut wires so he going to try and connect it up from the OEM stereo. but know my cd changer is not engaging and i have tried the reset button unless im doing something wrong as the cd changer was working fine before that?

O.k up date had electrician out to look at my speaker issue, and he said wires have been cut and reconnected and tested with a speaker then nothing at all could it be the dsp unit under the rear seat?

the previous owner disconnected the original system because he thought it was easier/cheaper to install an after market system. Trying to backtrack to the original fault is nearly impossible without actually working on the car. I think you are wasting your time trying to return the car to original system
