Hi I'm having problems with my v8 "limited" and the diagnostic check has thrown error code 41 (throttle position sensor)
I've gotten my hands on a replacement sensor but I'm not sure how to install it.
The only guides I can find are for non trc cars so the sensor is in a slightly different place.
The guide ive found shows the sensor being installed at 4 o'clock then turned to 6 o'clock and then screwed in place. This is impossible for me as there's a metal pipe sitting in the way which is attached to the throttle body so can't be moved. (I've added a photo so you can see what I mean.)

Rich it is likely that you will still have enough room to set it up correctly. I'm also wondering if the updated TPS is slightly larger than original.
You can always set the TPS up on the bench with throttle body removed, however I have never needed to do this. Make sure you follow the Toyota manual for set up. They are a bit finicky to get just right. It should go open circuit as soon as the throttle is cracked.
