Hi guys,

I installed a R154 and a single turbo to my 91 Soarer TT the last few weeks. Tried starting it but there is no sign of it getting any fuel and/or spark. It turns over fine though and there is fresh fuel in the tank.

I did wire the two cables from auto loom together (black/black white) to get it into neutral. Also wired in the reverse light switch.

I also removed the non working AC while I was at it, plus the fans. So now there are a lot of unused cable hanging around...

Anybody has any idea what I could have forgotten or what I should check for?

thanks a lot

Id fit a fuel pressure gauge, if fuel pressure is fine, check the injectors, check the spark plugs to see if they actually spark. Have you touched the timing ? which ecu are you running ? there are lots of little factors, but the main thing to keep in mind is that the engine needs air, fuel ignition and it needs to be able to release pressure in order to function.

The basics of fuel , air and spark shouldn't have changed from doing the conversion, so I think it is most likely something to do with the "neutral start" wiring you have done. Have that checked?
Also , check the green 30Amp fuse "INJ" in the under bonnet fuse box.
When you turn the ignition on,(not to 'start', just 'on') can you hear the fuel pump run for a second or two?
when you unplugged some aircon stuff, you didn't loosen the plugs on the ignitor?

The start wiring is controlled by the white switch on the auto shifter. I kept the relay and wired the switch to always be in the Park location. Can now start the car at any time, assuming the gearbox is in neutral, and remove the key from the ignition. The switch on the auto feeds the dash and ECU. The car will start without any gear being displayed on the dash.
