Hey guys, has anyone fitted the full EMV system into a pov pack TT, and what would be needed to make it work? Also, any idea if the Z31 loom needs to be transplanted in or would the TT have the loom in place?

I ask this because mine was a pov pack TT, but it had the wiring for the electric seats in it already when i went to put them in.

Possible, but a lot of work.

Really need an entire EMV car loom, and also EMV a/c computer too.

Then the DSP + reciever, and correct amps, as well as the EMV type CD stacker.

Just a lot of work though, EMV is great, but not worth the retro fit effort.

I have access to the entire UZZ31, so name it and i can get it. I'm aware many will think it isn't worth the effort, but to me the EMV is quirky and cool, and i'll be wiring the main unit with a set of generic plugs so if i need, i can change the a/c control unit back in and fit a modern head unit instead of the factory radio/cassette.
This exercise is more of a "why not?"; an excuse for me to tinker with the car now that i'm not fighting ten years of neglect from the previous owner, as well as have the 90's gizmos that i remember my gramps' car having. (He had a white Z32 from '94 until '09)

It can be done, there is a guy on the toyota soarer aus Facebook page who has done it. A lot of work as you have to transplant a lot of the electronics from the uzz31 into the jz body, there is a LOT of wiring involved with the EMV. but yes, it is a cool piece of 90's tech and one of the features i love about my uzz31.

I'd say look at the wiring digram from the uzz31 first and start by transplanting all the components, EMV, a/c computer, radio tuner, tv tuner, dsp module, sat nav module, amps, cd stacker etc and fit in the full uzz31 harness from the emv through to those components, only connecting in the wiring that relates to those components, it should basically turn on with main power and ground connections and basic signal lines to get it going. Then work on integrating the signals needed to make the emv complete, ecu, speedo, diagnostics etc.

That's reassuring to know someone has done it, i gutted the uzz31 interior of every wire and module i could lay my hands on, so when i have the time to look at the diagrams and sort out unnecessary wiring from the EMV loom.
I won't be actually fitting it until i take the car off the road for its manual swap and respray. Just trying to stock up on as much information on it as possible before i mess with any wiring.
