Can I take a cruise control unit out of a 31 limited and put it into a 1JZ 30 that did not every have cruise control or do I have to get one from a 6 cylinder? |

bump, I am needing some input on this. Has anyone ever fitted a cruise control to a 1JZ? If so, what unit did they use? |

Use the 1JZ one - the cable length is not enough on the 1UZ as the throttle is in the wrong spot.
I'm going to be doing a retrofit of cruise control as well. |

Apart from the length of the cable is there any difference in the parts that go to make up the cruise control system as a whole? There seems to be a few parts to it.
How much do I expect to pay for a 1JZ cruise control? I will ask who has one in the wanted section.

I have a spare parts 31 in the back yard. Can I use some from that and just get the cable part from a 1JZ? |

Pretty sure the motor is the same (it's the same motor as a window regulator) and the cable is different. you can try lengthening the cable or mounting it on the other side near the charcoal canister to see if it works well enough for you to continue with. |

Ok, Not quite ready to do this yet but will file it for when I am ready and if you could post any procedures to this thread when you do your retro fit Costa I would sure appreciate it.
