Hi! I am having trouble with my headlights not working in my -91 Soarer 1jz-gte (jzz30). I changed the boot struts and the next morning my headlights went out ( my typical luck ).
So, my tail lights, blinkers and parks work fine. if i try to put the highbeams ON, even the highbeam indicator light doesent work. I have checkd the headlight relay in the engine compartment and its fine ( I have also changed it to a new one ). 12.5 volts is coming to headlight relay "plug" to pins 1 and 4 with the relay unplugged ( engine off ) . I have earth coming to relay pin 5. Also 5 volts is coming to pin 3. Headlight fuses are ok. I have removed the Integration relay and it looks visually good inside. Headlight switch dims gauge lights so that seems to work too. If i jump the gap from headlight relay pins 4 and 5, headlights come on and also highbeams work and i can switch them on and off. with the Lowbeams off i get 12.5 volts to headlight plug positive and negative side with the bulb removed??
I im baffled by this and i cannot seem to get them working what ever i do.
PS. I am from Finland so sorry if this is hard to read :-)

If you have changed boot struts I don't see how this could have effected you lights, check fuses and wiring and the 2 relays.

Got this solved! Ended up being a broken wire in the drivers side wheel arch where the intercooler pipes goes thru. Red/yellow wire with silver dots
