WELL!..where do i begin..

i for a long time have had the soarer, infact it was the first car i ever drove, and to this day is basiclaly the only car i drive!

Passed my L's in it, Got my red P's, got my greens and going for my full licence next week!..

never a fine, lots of pull overs, but never a fine!

i have loved the car since basically minute one, HOWEVER, i did share the car with my sister for a period of time, and it was torture, because all this damage just kept appearing on the car , whether they be scratches, or big FAT dents in the rear quarter they were still there!..

only on one un-faithful night, i lost control in the car (one and ONLY time..you learn so much from these situations) and smacked the car up a gutter and sign..
but due to many key figures here on the forums (Neil and Jeff) i was able to have all the damaged repaired VERY swiftly!

however it didnt answer any of the problems such as COMPLETELY FLUCKED rear quarter, scracthes all over the rear bumper (sister couldnt reverse), scratches all over the front bumper (seems she couldn go forwards either), and just all those marks and imperfections you find when you wash it so much!..

BUT NOW, i finally (after 3 years of trying) have managed to get some funds together, and have, well, a LOT of work done to the girl!..

she may have looked like this at one point to me!

and even with the car like this, i loved it every little bit, ofcourse it was much more painful to wash the car, and find a completley crushed rear quarter but those are the breaks!...

3 weeks back i had dropped her off to, well get her groove back!..and i dropped in on her a week earlier to see how she was coming along, and my draw hit the ground to see what she looked like! I mean i was totally blown away!..for example she looked LIKE THIS..

well i mean, it coudl only get better from here i suppose !! i left, a lil gob smacked to see the car that way, but i just had to keep reminding myself it was only going to get better!..

and just this friday, i was picking her up, and again i was gobsmacked, but this time for all the right reasons!..i almost felt a tear build up when i see her, full form, immaculate paint (most of the car).. it was just..GREAT!..

i drove her for the first time in 3 weeks, felt so good!..

NOW ive left her with Steve at Mischief Motorsports, to get the Phantom Kit (as seen on Simon Triantfillou's GANSTA) soarer, soon to be completly finished and back to me...HOORAY! HOORAY! haha..

Forgot to mention, the initial rear quarter work, and respray was done by the team at Gartmore Smash Repairs, 11 Gartmore Ave Bankstown, extremly friendly bunch out there, and were very precise about their work.. would recommend them to anyone, as they came recommended by Duy on the forums here..

they are very good with price, and back it up with quality work!

Daniel! So that was your car at Steve's. My car's there right now mate. When do you get the beast back with the kit on it?

Great to see a damaged Soarer restored to it's original form. Can't wait to see the final product.

BTW: Never let your sister touch the car again! I would never let my sister touch mine haha.

Hahaha Daniel, you stalker.
I knew Steve would bitch to someone about me putting the spoiler back on! I'm just not a fan of smooth Soarer asses though. If the spoiler doesn't work, I'll just take it off :-)

Haha. How'd that happen Duy?

Daniel, I have no idea when I'll be getting my car back. Hopefully some time next week. My front bar won't be coming in til this Friday so I can only speculate when I'll be getting my car back.

Nice job and a nice colour choice.

Can't wait to see pics with the kit and everything finished.

Yep, Gartmore did a great job on the rear end of my Cedric too. Will be taking it back when I am ready to paint the front and install my kit.

Daniel i saw your car there in the preliminary stages and thought to myself "I hope the owner doesnt come in and see his car like that, it looks in a very sorry state!" But it looks like it all turned out good in the end!

Thanks to Duy (and his brother) for recommending the place...

One thing though.. DO NOT take the courtesy car from them. Perhaps its a ploy to make you happy to pick up your car from them, but an '85 camry that has trouble starting in the mornings, does not go above 40km/h and not a single straight panel on it just didnt do it for me. I took it back after 2 days! Haha
