The widebody really has to be seen in real life to appreciate the difference. I saw heaps of photos of the car before i bought it and liked the look of it but when i saw it i couldnt believe how good it looked. My brother also has a soarer which is parked next to mine and the widebody looks awesome. It has a vertex rear and side skirts but a custom front bar.
Mark if you want to see it in person just pm me and we can arrange a time.I put a vertex on the front and it does look heaps better but i have to save up to get it painted.

Troy - I wouldn't mind doing a photoshoot of it at some stage if you are keen. Just not right now as I have too many projects on the go as it is. But I'd be interested to see it in person.
As you say the photos probably don't do it justice...
I think the main difference between your custom kit and the vertex ridge kit is the fact that the vertex has an air vent on the inside front door section which means it has a definate "lip" rather than smoothing off into the door.
I can't recall if the back has the same (need to dig around for those shots of the Vertex widebody ridge soarer) unless someone else has them handy...
Then there is the "Blister" widebody...I have shots of that somewhere too but it has side skirts the size of a wedding dresses...

the blue one at the top of the page was on yahoo auctions a few weeks ago.. there were some other pics of it, it's one of the best widebodies I've seen. Was a nice uzz31 from memory, very clean, very well executed.

I dont want to take away from any cars that do have wide body kits, because ultimately in the end its what matters to the owner/driver! ;D
...buuuttt personally i fell in love with the Soarer for its sleek and flowing curves. The wide body kits seem to add a sort of polygon-ish look to the sides =\

Yeah, I'm not sold on actually owning a wide body Soarer, but I do love looking at them. I'm flat out trying to decide whether to get a front bar or just revamp my existing one.
