Yang the bonnet on the Supra in the link you posted looks S HITHOUSE, on a Soarer would look totally out of place.

Seems like you are determined to do it tho. I'd take the car to a shop who specializes in butchering beautiful cars & get it done by a professional butcher rather than attempt it myself is all I can suggest.

If you use a hatchet, you can get straighter lines that by using a drill.

Although if you look in the cars for sale there is a beautiful black Soarer with hood cutouts.

IMHO they fit on that car.

Reminds me of that Simpsons episode where homer punches holes in his car with a pick axe...

I really think ying yang twins here should get on with it. Drill the holes yourself. Just cut out as much of the bonnet as you need. Dont worry about the braces, she'll be all apples!

YOU CAN DO IT!

Scott, the cutouts on that particular Soarer aren't as overboard as the one's Yang is planning to do.

Yang, go ahead and do it mate. If that's what you want, don't let anyone stop you. Just don't attempt to do it yourself. That's what professionals are for.

Yeah Vinh, I agree. On the black car they are not as prevalent and very well done, very likely a professional job, not a DIY.

A DIY is almost certain to turn out worse than expected(looking like a DIY hack) unless you have extensive body work experience.

I'm not a huge fan of just holes in the hood. If they are small vents, and up near the windshield, maybe. Otherwise, why not go with a scoop, or an indented scoop like Jodie's car.

In any case, better go buy a bucket of bondo and some chicken wire
