Well my Soarer was in a small impact with an obstacle at low speeds according to the owner I bought it off. He did it at the start of the year which cause a new bumper needed; hence it’s a 94' front bar on a 91'.

However I’ve noticed the bonnet doesn’t sit right so it’s even with the front bar, it sits about 5mm to high. Heres the pictures

Note the upper join near the front mirrors looks normal, there’s some chips indicating the bonnet was moved in the impact.

What I think the problem is that the mounts for the bumper are slightly bent so its doesn’t sit right... however maybe the bonnet just needs adjusting

Any other ideas or how to adjust the bonnet to sit properly?

those are the only things i know of that you can adjust the bonnet with. you twist them and it will change the height at the front.

Thanks for that, Ive just adjusted them all to the lowest height. The left passenger side sits perfectly but the right driver sides still a tad high.

If I push down on the left side that sits nicely its doesnt move much, but if I push on the higher right side it does down nicely how it should look, but then pops back up again to look uneven when I let go... Perhaps theres something to do with the joins just infront of the window...

I've actually just adjusted the passenger side rubber stopper so its sicks out more than the rest - so now it such much more even on the right side. Looks much better than before. :-)

Thanks Ryan.

Lol,

Actually the more I look at it its still rather high on the right side. I may loosen the brackets that hold bonnet and get it in the right place then tighten them up. Im sure that will solve this... Ill investigate tomorrow when I get my socket set. :-)

Even still its better than before but still no quite right

You may need to push the bumper up a bit.

I have the same problem, bit of chassis damage during an impact I had. Bit of an asshole, will have to save and get it straightened at some point. Mine is the right hand side too.

I swapped the bonnet hinges, made no difference.

I also had the same problem. I actually removed those adjustable rubber things completely. In my case, it did help a bit more (and no, there's no bonnet shake)
