Hey guys.. I'm From Galaxy Customizing in bayswater, Victoria. i am currently working on a project making Custom Hinges for my Baby... i am wondering if there is anyone else who would like some lambo doors as it is the only part of the car i would give the idea away to. and make more up of!!
if you are interested in a pair please let me know and i will make the first 1 up and fit to my car and will retail at the shop for Soarer Owners

Danny, there have been points made about the 'Lambo Doors' not openning very far?
Do you have any idea on the amount they will open? Also much has been said on the weight of the doors, and dying struts...any comments?
(On pictures the door seems to open to about 45-50 degree's, and hence you gat about 80% at sill level, decreasing to about 30% and the headrest level, for getting into the seat)

we are a customising business. we do anything from airbrushing to custom panel work! the hinges will range from 800 and im pretty sure they are a 90 Degree hinge.. fitting i am unsure as we are doing the first on the soarer to my one. i will let you guys no how much for fitment and engineering

If they a 90 degree hinges I would be very interested but would it be possible as I live in Qld, that I could install the hinges myself or is that not possible.

I used to be into kit cars when I lived in Blighty. I know from visiting many shows, that kit car owners who were still building their cars or had managed to do so, that getting the Lambo type doors to actually line up properly had given them more trouble than just about the whole of the kit car put together. I'm talking about peaople tearing their hair out here!
I also tried sitting in a couple of Lambo copies (good ones at that) and although I'm six foot tall, I found that getting into and out of the cars really awkward. I was about 30 years old at the time and my back was ok. But now (at 52) although I'm still fit, it wouldn't be so easy.
It's brilliant that there's the chance of ultra customising your car in this way and I'd love to take to my roof with a grinder (one day, one day) but personally I love the wide opening Soarer doors just as they are.

As for lining up lambo doors! if you pay a little bit extra for the extra care you will always get a better result! unfortunatly we get alot of kids who come in and want everything done for less!! unfortunatly it doesnt all run this way! atm we are going throught the last stages of ADR requirnment so that we can ADR approve our work! but for the mean time we have a local who has their ADR license which is approving our show cars!

Would have to say, if they get ADR approval and the lining up isnt too much of a hassle, I would definately be interested! would have to say that it would be a unique mod to have, at least for a while before every man and his dog with a soarer wanted them
