Good Day,

I have a dent in my front bar. It wasn't me, I bought the car like that. Now I am wondering about how to repair it. The front bar is mildly deformed (see pictures), so could a panel beater repair it and if yes any idea how much that would cost (by the way, are there any good panel beaters in Townsville)? Or would it be cheaper to buy a second hand front bar (factory or after market) and get it re-painted?

It's polyurethane. I'd suggest a new front bar.

I've heard that you can use a heat gun and straighten it when it's warm.

You might be able to pop it back out with heat?

So you just heat it up with a heat gun and than you should be able to pop it back out? Hmm...

Yeah you could form it back into shape using heat.. don't know how long it'd take though hehe.

there is a metal piece between the bar and the rubber black lip, that would probably be keeping most of the bar pushed in,as above heat it up then clamp something to that shape then cool it with water.
