Ive gota 91 TT with 145,000 k's on it.
As part of a divorce settlement (actually my wife died in August but we were going through a divorce and he solicitor won't let go) I have to get my Soarer valued.
I have taken it to a Toyota place in Maroochydore, Sunshine Coast and the bloke there didn't want to give a price. When I pushed him he said that one of the local guys would 'maybe' give me $3000 for it if I was selling it (which I'm not).
But my wife's solicitors valuer is saying that the car's worth around $13000 -Crazy!
The bodywork is ok but there is a small (250mm long) scrape along the front indicator area and the indicator's broken from when a moron side-swiped me months ago, the paintowrk is iffy to say the least (bonnet and boots I had resprayed about 5 years ago) the roof has hundreds of little pock marks where the paint has come off and the panels behind the doors, all the way to the rear of the car has paintwork that is un-glossy. In fact paintwork -wise it's a mess. Interior-wise it's standard but certainly nothing special condition -wise. Any ideas what it's really worth anyone? I'll try to post a photo or two tomorrow but meanwhile, I just know if I don't get a proper idea of it's value, the greedy son of a btch is gonna convince the judge that the cars worth a fortune. Even the red book (I think it's called) has given the valuer different prices so far. Help!

A car dealer will offer you $5,000 as a trade in from my experience, which is crazy, but that may help you out. Does the Redbook website put trade a retail values on Soarer's? Worth a look.

Lew-I tried e-mailing you the pics but the e-mails came back to me saying Postfix couldn't find the domain name.
I also tried posting photos here but apparently the photos are too big to post (I have no idea why as I've posted photos here before).
So at the moment I'm limited to words I'm afraid.
Three of the 4 tyres are about three months away from needing replacement and I've been told that the car will need about $2000 worth of repairs to steering, bushes, shocks etc to get a Safety Cert.
I reckon the car's worth about $4000 but the thing is, I have to pay the valuer to come all the way from Brisbane-at a cost of about $500 !
Sorry chaps but the photo's just won't play ball so will this description do? Lew, my e-mail address is treffabbott@westnet.com.au if you want to e-mail me I can then 'reply' to your e-mail address with the pics.
