Lining is easy enough to remove if you remove the wheel first. If you're VERY dextrous in your hands you may be able to do it without removing the wheels.
There's 5 screws with clips that holds the lining. A small deep socket will take care of the screws on the back that holds the housing.

turn the wheels mate! and stretch them. on second though i may have taken the wheel off? i think i have some plastic left, but it s pretty easy to get, look up any plastic supplier in the yellow pages and ask for diffuser plastic, they should have about 5 types.

Point taken David but when you're a broken arse student like me who had to sell his SW20 to pay the rent, and cant justify forking out $180+ for import scene or vertex ones, these DIY ones suffice
I might even shave them altogether and do an LED strip conversion on my mirrors now though
