| Just wondering how this looks. I am in 2 minds about it. One side of me says it looks good and different than the norm, the other side of me is saying that it is a bit pretentious. At the moment, it is just sitting there not stuck on or anything. Thought about maybe mounting it on a horizontal metal bar to make it look whole. Your thoughts..........................

Looks alright.... not a huge fan of the Soarer badge on the front grille, other than that it looks ok

Tom the bar is just a standard 97+ Soarer front bar. Got it from Castlehill Toyota (in NSW) and it costs somewhere around $500-$600. Can't remember exactly how much due to it being done under insurance. The fog lights cost extra each (I think $250 each or something).

Get the original grill for it mate, don't worry about that wire crap people use as well and that soarer badge, sorry but spoils the whole look. Keep it original =

I think the Lexus symbol is one of the best out there. I like the Merc one too but I wouldn't put it on my Soarer, likewise the Lexus L because I know I'd be deluding myself. Same with the Soarer bit; it doesn't belong there. Saying that, it looks ok but you're not being true if that means anything to you. Keep it on if you want, it doesn't bother me.

With that soarer badge, im pretty sure you can buy grill kits to replace that, which look quite neat

I think it looks cool. I like the way it looks like its just floating there. Reckon it'd be really easy to rip off tho since you wouldnt be able to secure it well. Ten points for originality. I was thinking about doing something different with the badging too.. maybe a Griffin badge at the back?

Yes Tom, you can purchase the grille from Toyota for around the $230AUD mark. This will be a direct fit and will definitely improve the overall look of the car in my opinion. That SOARER badge just doesn't look right in that place, but it's always good to be different. Hate that particular Lexus badge though. Blue background? Ugh!

Vinh it is actually black. What you see in the picture is a reflection of the sky. The Lexus badge I put on there months ago. The Soarer badge in the grill was my idea, but after looking it and umming and arrring about it I might just go the standard 97+ grill on it. |

i like the soarer badge not sure on the "L" though... we should all be proud of the original car being a SOARER (or in My case a celsior) NOT a SC its just pretensious (sorry about the spelling)

Not pretentious at all. It's just a question of what people like. They were all made in the same factory.

Oh my Giddy Aunt...... here we go again. Please do a search on Lexus Vs Soarer before responding to this topic. It's an argument/discussion/debate that is older than dirt and has never been resolved one way or another.
