After reading comments & suggestions, and seeing results posted here I visited SuperCheap today and picked up some Meguiar's "Plastx" Clear Plastic Cleaner & Polish, and a pack of Maguiar's NXT Generation Tech Wax.

After just a few minutes work the results were ...well, see for yourselves!

Not perfect but bloody impressive for a few minutes elbow grease. Now all I have to do is get rid of a few dozen stone chips, some of which go right down to the primer. I feel a full paint job coming on!

This will be the colour, has her-indoors' seal of approval too.....hehehehehe

They look much better Bruiser. I think I'll be heading down to Supercheap in the next few days for some of my own based on your results

Its great stuff I use it on them every week or two, but I really need to bring out the 1500 grit sandpaper and water to remove the yellow coat the plast-x just wont get off...

Isn't there some kind of wax-for headlights that you could use to keep the lights looking good for longer, rather than having to keep applying the stuff?

I did mine on Saturday - I used Autosol, applied with my fingers, allowed to dry just a little, then terry clothed off, then followed with Scratch-X, again applied with fingers, allowed to fully dry, then terry clothed off. Results were pretty good, particularly the drivers side, which has always been much worse than the passengers, but now matches up quite well. I think from now on I'll try and do this every second time I wash the car from now on to keep it up.

Of course the damn things still get water in them no matter what I do!

Been using thins stuff for about 5 months!!

I think I even put my 2c worth in for it on the Headlight Clean tutorial... The stuff definitely cleans them up well.. however I agree that with some of the headlights out there the 1500 grit will be needed.. using the plast-x as the 'polish' so to speak..!!

PS.. The kit on the gold one looks HOT.. so smooth and sleek!

I got some reasonable results with Meguiar's Scratch-X paint scratch remover. I'll try a 20 minute job tomorrow, but the 2 minute job I did today yielded some pretty darn good results

Hi Guys,
Any of you tried this product?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&viewitem=&item=190043968570 It looks pretty good to me. There is an interesting read at http://reviews.ebay.com.au/The-Truth-about-cleaning-abrasives-on-headlight-lens_W0QQugidZ10000000002 535479 As some of you will have read I have been using Meguiars polishes with great success but I always on the lookout for something better.
