This is actually ... wait for it, a Vaxhaul Corsair , with a few minor modifications. About AUD$10 incl postage from UK via Ebay. I know many will cough at the sight of this but I reckon it looked allright. The original pic is below FYI.

Modify it a bit more and lose the ring all together and it will look good.

Might as well chuck a ford badge on it....or a suzuki badge...lol.

Nothing to do with our make of car...except for some kind of flying thing. lol.

Sorry, just my opinion...good on you for doing something different though

Steve this was just my interim badge because I had these lovely holes so I wanted to cover them up and hence did so on a whim... see the 'before' picture below. Your old Griffin will proudly go on as a replacement...

Yeah agreed, in this case I had to leave the trim on to cover the holes, but here's how it would look...

It's another form of a Griffon which is a mythical beast anyway. Looks pretty good without the ring- would look even better gold-plated.

Steve the whole idea behind the griffin badge when Toyota put it on the car was their believe in driving away evil spirits (no pun intended). The griffin was designed to do this, however most people questioned why it was put on the front, or why it wasn't also put on the back of the car.

Earl it's a unique idea, glad to see it. Looks a little Vauxhall to me, but loosing the ring removes that notion.
