Intro
I recently recovered my factory wheel caps as they looked like rubbish bin cap. Since I have no money and connection with mechanics or painter, I spontaneously decided to be a Japanese modeler. I know this paints are pretty weak but I'm still satisfied as the whole works just cost me around $20 and less than an hour.
Things used
1. Quality Japanese GUNDAM MARKER(Red)
2. Tamiya White Surfacer Tamiya Bright Silver Model Spray(MS-??)
3. Sand paper around 1200-1500
Procedure
1. apply sand paper just to peel off old paint and remove scratches.
2. apply surfacer, this allow new paint settle down well. spray lightly each time and make few layers
3. spray colour paint(silver), also make few layers ( do not try to finish at once )
4. With any favourite colour, paint on your Griffin proudly.
5. wait until they get dry then put the all caps back
Now you're done
The new spray work looks little bit different with entire wheel colour because the wheels are on dust at the moment. The colour match is %90 perfect. And this new red griffin kind of gives highlight on the car so I love it !

Oh well.... I know that... but my soarer's been little bit ugly with the crap wheel caps... it kind of looked like early 90's car ? (yes it is, actually) but now looks like early 2000's car

Hmm, maybe I should do that with my old Griffin wheel caps - they fit the Supra wheels, but they are too dark in colour so I've just got the Toyota ones on at the moment.

It's a cheap work... but i think it's still worth it.. as each wheel cap is around $49 ( @ Castle Hills Toyota. I was also told that it will be around $43 each when I buy 4 sets )
Don Bagnall Moderator New Zealand I have WAY less Soarers than Hayden :-(

Nice job, Min, looks good
Personally the std wheels are pretty good, but a bugger to keep clean. Along with most multi-spoked wheels (I used to spend hours on wire spoked wheels as a youth, motorcycle rear wheels get loads of grease on them from the chain).
