Has anyone had any experience with "relaxing" the bonnet struts? I have a carbon fibre bonnet which is much lighter obviously than stock and hence the struts are forcing the bonnet to "bulge" due to the lack of weight. ANy way of weakening them?...

Most strut re-gassers should be able to reduce the pressure in them.

Go to www.mcmaster.com and type strut in the search box on the left. There will be an "About Gas Struts" that shows you how to figure out which strut you need. Then order new ones. They aren't very expensive or you can buy new ones locally if they won't ship to Aus.

Gregg, you can try The Strut Specialist in Osb Park.
I went there for my boot struts and they can custom make the strut to whatever pressure desired.
