I have come across some fabric extreamly similar to Carbon Fibre sheeting, the only think is this stuff is white, and cabon fibre is dark grey to black.
Anyway, I decided I wanted to use this stuff on the car, I took a 10 x 10cm square, and created a flat sheeting, mixed up some resin, coated this sheet, and shaped it over a spraycan lid.
Anyway, it came out like a small hill, it was large enough to test stregnth, but small enough not to waste what little amount of this stuff I actually have.
Anyway, after hitting it with a hammer, and only creating a very small crack, I am certainly satisfied of it's strength, so now to make something for the car with it.
I was thinking a gauge holder, then I was thinking of replacing the wood grain with white fibre inserts, but these ideas have fallen short, as I dont have guages in the car yet, and I dont think white inserts would suit.
I am after ideas, and also how to create molds for these items, then it's time to actually make this stuff.
