I was interested in these a while back,

I found out from Alen sadicovic (sorry for the spelling) that the gear knob is actually just plastic (looks like it would be something bit more solid)....it comes loose a lot (only tightens up with alen key) and the plastic handbrake cover is just something that covers the top half of the handbrake, just slips on the existing stick.

Sorry if i'm not supposed to mention this. Not meaning to put people off. The gear knob and handbrake cover still look good when installed....just don't want any people to have misconceptions about the product.

If this goes against some rules or something....feel free to delete the post

Definantly real although i'm not sure how well these work on any old windscreen.

180sx's had this an option from factory but cars fitted with the HUD also came with a special windscreen...

Sorry but this is INCORRECT. The chrome pieces are 100% chrome plated metal, the wood section is a synthetic overlay over another material which is not documented. It could be a form of plastic or other composite but this is not known. The build quality is extremely good and I stand by the form and finish 100%.

Fitting is not easy as most know that have fitted them. However if fitted CORRECTLY it WILL NOT come loose.

I'm all for other people informing people about products but this information you heard is misguided.

Hey Daniel - Good Spot! I've occassionally snuck in some popular products on importlister to reward those who use the service....

Benjamin - Yes the HUD is real and had been designed as an aftermarket solution to work on all aftermarket windscreens (ie: No special coatings etc are required). This item is also in stock.

Woodgrain???? Woodgrain look good? Maybe on a fishing trawler or a 1980's Jag.

I'd be going Brushed Aluminium if anything...

Carbon Fibre Interior? No.

well i got a handbrake cover (levoc)...

thinking it was a complete take the old grip off and slide this one on.

Not the case. it is like a cheap piece of plastic that literally double sided tapes to the existing cover and only covers half... and i paid $40 for this piece of garbage.

This is just my opinion, but saying that i would not buy it again if offered. even if it was for $5.

hahah yeah i've seen them before. the one i had bought its a slide on one. its more of a- completely dismantle the handbrake and screw and glue on -thing. i think i just need to remove the leather grip and put this on. no idea how thou
mabe i should just blow torch the bugger.

That's actually the problem with the full aftermarket variety - you have to slice up your factory handbrake to slip the full cover over it.

The Levoc provides a simple solution that slips straight on top and looks great. If you have good taste and would blow $55 on a decent lunch then it's excellent value and matches the Levoc shifter perfectly.

That's just my opinion (and given the history of sales it is an opinion clearly shared by many other soarer owners).

No offense, but I just got one of those handbrake cover things on Ebay for $18 delivered and it looks just about the same as the Levoc ones though I don't know about build quality but for $18 I couldn't resist

http://search.stores.ebay.com.au/N-Power_Handbrake_W0QQfcdZ2QQfciZQ2d1QQfclZ3QQfromZR10QQfsnZNQ2aPow erQQfsooZ1QQfsopZ1QQftsZ2QQsaselZ132436784QQsofpZ0

$180 seems far to much for a gear knob but if you have the money to splurge, more power to you my MOMO Gearknob AND Pedal kit for my Laser cost me $180 and they where Carbon Fibre and Billet Alloy

Brett you have to tell me the secret of getting that fitted.

I have a levoc shifter which i like and i think is pretty good but sadly i broke it recently ( when it was out of the car... i stood on it... SHUT UP!! ) so it sorta wobbles a little now.

I had the stump there for a good few months, Lew loved it haha

No the hand brake cover is for the soarer... and by the way my Laser had over $40,000 spent on it and 160awkw @ 15psi in a 900kg car... it didn't need a handbrake "cover" as it had a full billet alloy one...

Yeah it was my toy... and it was different :-) and its was extremely fast... it was 40k over 4 years... it wasn't like I dumped all the money into it in one go, otherwise it would have been RWD and a 13b turbo and not Familia 4WD setup :-) The laser only had one downfall... the Gearbox's would explode

If you click on my name to see my profile you will see that yes now I own a soarer.. but its my daily cruiser, and doesn't need to be stupidly fast...
