Im going spoilerless amongst other things that are being removed/changed on the car.

I toyed with the idea of changing the place for the camera and have settled 90pc on this.

Now be aware that its not level and is not what the finished product will be but you will see what i mean.

Feedback expected please.

Not too bad for a 30 minute job I used my old stuffed rear bar to make a template.

From what I've been told, the reversing camera is useless unless you can see the rear bumper as well.

Otherwise, you have no bearing on how far back you can go ect.

It is the downward angle that you need to get perspective. you don't need to see the bumper, that's what the red dots are for on the reverse screen. you just go into diagnostics and move the dots up/down the screen so that they correspond to a known distance from the rear of the car.

One day I'm going to rip out the Boot Lock and put a FishEye Lens, Lipstick Cam in there - that should do the trick

exactly what i was thinking Mark, just put an object behind the car and tune the camera to the distance the downward angle is easily achived especialy as it will have to have one as it has to clear the beaver panel.

If you can get avery fish-eyed lens they are not too bad pointing straight back. Distance is hard to judge though. Pointing down like the factory one is best.

Mine's mounted right above the centre of my rear number plate, just under the bumper. 160' angel and works a treat. I don't find it difficult without the down angle view.

God Andrew, if that thing was any shinier, it would need a health warning for potential glare

Oh, and your RH number plate screw looks a tad dull, compared to the other one........please remedy, ta!

Thanks for the compliments guys...and Griffo Pal is on the menu for you next time.

By the way if any one is interested I have a spare camera (genuine Toyota) it's not cheap but that was the cost unfortunately $390.00

It has several fitting options as can be seen in the following pics.

Andrew - that's the best woodgrain kit I've seen in terms of completely covering the facia with no breaks in the surround of the buttons.

Can I ask what make and the supplier ?
