It is the downward angle that you need to get perspective. you don't need to see the bumper, that's what the red dots are for on the reverse screen. you just go into diagnostics and move the dots up/down the screen so that they correspond to a known distance from the rear of the car.

exactly what i was thinking Mark, just put an object behind the car and tune the camera to the distance the downward angle is easily achived especialy as it will have to have one as it has to clear the beaver panel.

If you can get avery fish-eyed lens they are not too bad pointing straight back. Distance is hard to judge though. Pointing down like the factory one is best.

Mine's mounted right above the centre of my rear number plate, just under the bumper. 160' angel and works a treat. I don't find it difficult without the down angle view.

Offtopic: Andrew, did you cut underneath the laminate to get the FF label to show under the woodgrain? Im working out how to get that look before putting mine in!
