hey guys thought id put a few pics up to show my car at the moment.. was ran into parked out the front of my house (p plater thought he could drift at 4am) his car was a total writeoff.. i was very suprised how mine faired after seeing his car.... no wonder soarers are so heavy.. they make them commodore proof haha nrma has been very well f'n slow!!! has been 3 months and have only taken door and few panels off to assess damage.. damage was... drivers door, front quarter, front bar, front wheels(left from impact, right from hitting gutter from impact also damaging control arms) bonnet, dash was squashed which dash will now not turn on and the a/c display now leaking. also squished my brand new jvc dvd player and broke the face off it... alot of other things but cant really think of at moment.. due to being down to this stage im paying extra to get proper back to metal respray in either ford blueprint or the holden ve dark metallic blue and a set of 20 inch lenso shadowchrome ls5's. hoping to find rear lip + skirts or ill get a kit bit later on when i have bit more money.. also putting in a few other mods while off the rd like my pwr predator kit etc. ill get some pics up...

oh yeah i should mention it happened before too lol.. 1yr and 2 days to be exact.. how is that for bad luck!!! least this time they couldnt go anywhere but this first one was a hit and run never found them...

the wheels cost me 2300 from tempe with 245's kuhmo ku31's with nuts and lock nuts etc. the wheels on it the front 2 were damaged from the impact.. drivers from teh car and passenger from where it was pushed into the gutter. but if anyone is interested ill sell the rear wheels for 300 need tyres but not any gutter rash whatsoever!! has 275/30's on there at the moment. the car was a vs commodore and was a total write off.. they had taken the car before i could get a pic as was 4am in the morning and my phone camera couldnt get anything other than fuzzy black blurs lol but it was pretty well screwed.. front taken off level with engine, car rolled and damaged roof + pillars, drivers wheel + strut and control arm ripped off.. etc etc etc so yeh the fact my soarer took an impact like that and is still pretty straight is pretty cool.. i am going blueprint cause i love the colour lol but after it is done ill get a genuine origin kit when i save enough money haha when i get some new pics ill keep everyone updated.. at the moment half way through putting the predator kit on while the front is apart..

the last time wasnt too bad.. this time is alot more damage.. i sat my 20's next to my 19's yesterday lol looks like ill be raising the car about an inch or so to get the 20's to fit with the bigger rolling diameter

haha yeh there is over an inch and a half of difference in rolling diameter but ill use the rsm to calibrate the speedo accurate again. the good thing is ill be able to raise my car but the wheels will still look as low and in the guards so bit more ground clearance without jacking it up and looking like a 4x4 lol
im trying to decide on either a light tan leather retrim, a full front and rear d2 8 piston brakes or getting the origin kit while its being resprayed..... any thoughts?? i cant decide haha

yeh i think ill try get a set and let ya's know how they go... ok was able to do the nice 10km pushie ride to get back down there to take a few pics. guard is sitting on and door is stripped down for the panel beating part to start properly to line everything up perfect. got the 20's sitting on to see how much we will be rolling the guards. but rear ones already done so might not have to do them. still havent decided on dead set colour... down to 3 or 4 but going to go through some more colour charts see if i find anything i like.. here is a few more pics..
what you think bout the rims on the car?? they look so much more tucked under when you look at the car...

hey ryan long time no see! work is getting done at bob christies. takes longer but its done properly as u would know lol im not sure what the red car is.. i was only taking notice of my car haha the handle looks like a mazda 3 or 6 of some description. yeah the rims look so much better on the car in real life i just hope the colour i choose will still look as good lol
ryan the first time this happened they done a runner so i know how you feel same parts hit this time too lol if there is karma i better be getting some good stuff happening soon..
they say should be in the paint shop end of next week to start the sand and spraying side. so i gotta choose my colour soon.. so many colours its so confusing! i have it down to bout 6 colours. most of them are a blue another is a dark really flakey metallic purple or i keep thinking of the rip curl ford ute colour?? but im so annoyed i tried to get a genuine origin body kit so i can do it all at once and they dont have stock till its 4 weeks after it should be finished so i might do that as soon as it gets in so i have my car to drive around in for a few weeks and show it off lol i might have to change my coilovers for higher ones for the kit.. my racing jic coilovers dont go much higher than it is now lol but it sticks to the road like it was glued there. see what happens lol and now with the huge rims i need to fill that void with some stopping power. they make the brakes look like they are off my mini lol

Sounds good, Bob should be good at painting soarers now. The paint is so damm thick on mine. The best part is that you know the work is going to be good, even if it does take a little longer to complete. I will be down next month some time, I will drop in and say hi. Want to have a look
